If you work in the NHS, public health or social care, you’ve probably heard of QIPP (Quality, Innovation, Productivity and Prevention), but have you heard of the QIPP collection?
It’s a website run by NICE that contains:
- QIPP case studies – examples of how health and social care staff are improving quality and productivity across the NHS and social care
- Cochrane quality and productivity topics – which are drawn from systematic reviews by the Cochrane Collaboration that may help inform local initiatives address the quality and productivity challenge
- Links to other tools and resources that support the quality and productivity challenge
There’s quite a bit of content in the collection relevant to mental health. For example, here are a handful of case studies published in 2012:

Keeping up to date with this kind of evidence is tough. There is a great deal of good quality material that could potentially be really useful for those involved in service redesign or commissioning, but on the whole it’s inaccessible by those who need it most.
